“Remember what they say
There’s no shortcut to a dream
It’s all blood and sweat
And life is what you manage in between”
This lyric has really resonated with me the past
couple of weeks.

Does everyone remember SX 2011 and how much it ruled?
I mean… super ruled.

Holy Fiction - Hours from It

Heard this band perform tonight at Banter as part of
my 35 Denton Festival coverage. Wonderful, wonderful songs.
The Polyphonic Spree - The Beginning Stages of the Polyphonic Spree

(Side note: I’ve heard this album before but I haven’t heard it all the way
through in years.)
Day 1:
Currently Listening:
Starfucker - Reptilians (Deluxe Addition)
James Vincent McMorrow - Early in the Morning (Special Edition)
to listen to at least one new album everyday.
I love Spotify for this reason. It puts these artists right at my fingertips
and it supports the artist as opposed to illegally downloading the albums
or spending $100 a paycheck on music.
I so often find myself saying, “Oh yeah, I’ve heard OF them but never
actually LISTENED to them/that album.” I definitely waste at least
an hour of my time doing unproductive things a day.
So the goal is one album a day.
I saw Death Cab for Cutie live tonight.
